The Ridge

This past Sunday, we were blessed to hear from Pastor Adam Churchwell of the Valley Rescue Mission and worship with the men from Crossroads! Not only did we learn more about the incredible ways the Valley Rescue Mission serves our community, but we were also encouraged by a powerful message from God’s Word.

Together, we studied Luke 15 and were reminded that God’s love is constant, patient, and welcoming. He seeks after us and gives us opportunities to respond to His grace, yet He never forces us. Like the father in the parable of the prodigal son, God patiently waits for His children to return to Him.

We also reflected on the response of the older brother, whose bitterness made it difficult for him to celebrate his brother’s return. His example challenges us to guard our hearts against resentment and instead rejoice when the lost are found. May we always be quick to forgive, celebrate God’s redeeming work in others, and rejoice in the goodness of the Lord.

Thank you, Pastor Adam, for sharing both the ministry of the Valley Rescue Mission and this message with our church family!

The same Holy Spirit that empowered the early church is still at work today—drawing people to Christ, equipping believers, and transforming lives.

As we come to the end of our journey to Pentecost, we are reminded of a simple but powerful truth: we all need forgiveness, we all need salvation, and we all need Jesus.

God’s invitation is open to everyone. Through repentance, baptism, and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit, we step into the new life He has promised.

We celebrated our high school/college seniors and prayed over them as they begin their next chapter and life journey!

We pray that God would guide their steps, strengthen their faith, protect their hearts, and remind them that they are never walking alone. May they seek His wisdom in every decision, find courage in uncertainty, and continue to grow into the people He has called them to be. We are so proud of each of you and can’t wait to see how God moves in your lives!
