Born in Bulgaria in 1959 under a communist regime, Latchezar Boyadjiev began his artistic training in ceramics. He longed for greater creative freedom and opportunity. When an exchange program to study glassmaking in Czechoslovakia appeared, he pursued it with determination.

Shaped by six years of study with the legendary Czech master Stanislav Libenský, his work carries the lineage of Czech glass while evolving into something unique —balancing figurative and geometric forms with a refined, sculptural elegance.

Join us May 2nd and learn more about the rest of his story and how he made his way to America and found true artistic freedom.
