Join us for worship today as we conclude Are You Ready for a Miracle? with “The Miracle of Courage.” Come find encouragement for the week ahead and be reminded that even in uncertain moments, we don’t face them alone.
🎒 Today is also Blessing of the Backpacks Sunday! Our main celebration is at 11 am at First Community North, with backpack blessings during the children’s moments at 9 am North and 10 am South.
📚 And one last reminder: today is the final day of our School Supply Drive! Bring your donations with you to worship and help local students start the year strong.

✨ Are You Ready for a Miracle?
Join us tomorrow as we conclude our sermon series with “The Miracle of Courage,” based on Matthew 14:22–36. What does it look like to move forward in faith when fear and uncertainty are still present?

We're also continuing to collect school supplies to help local students start the school year ready to learn, grow, and thrive. Every backpack, notebook, and box of crayons is a reminder to a child that they are seen, supported, and loved.

We'll enjoy dinner together, then create simple acts of kindness that will brighten someone's day—from Kindness Kits for our unhoused neighbors to encouraging notes, Smile Rocks, Stranger Succulents, and more.

Please say a prayer for the persons below and write your name in the booklet. Prayers & Squares will then complete the prayer quilt, with knots having been tied to represent the prayers of those who participated both at church and online. We’ll provide a list of the names to the recipients. Our ministry has always been about Congregational prayers—you do not need to personally know the prayer quilt recipient to offer a prayer for their comfort. Past recipients have attested to the power of prayer from complete strangers as well as loved ones. We know this to be true, evidenced by the Prayers & Squares motto: “It’s not about the quilt, it’s about the prayers.”
A prayer from Rev Mary Kate Buchanan: Loving God, As these persons wrap themselves in this prayer quilt, I pray they feel surrounded by Your comfort and peace. I pray they can feel the love and support of all those who are praying for them near and far. May they know that they are not alone in the struggles they face.
