Job Summary
Nickolas Savko & Sons has been an industry leader for 75 years, specializing in large site infrastructure, mass excavation and earth moving, underground utilities, placement of concrete curbs for roadway construction and are known world-wide as the leaders in Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC).

Job Description & Responsibilities
• Analyze and interpret engineering plans, specification, and geotechnical reports.
• Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office and AGTEK software to develop earthwork quantity takeoffs for estimate preparation. We also utilize B2W estimating software.
• Participate and co-work with all members of the estimating staff with ideas, competitive advantages, etc. in preparing bids. The right candidate is invited to participate in the presentation of the bid to the customers.
• When awarded a project the right candidate will utilize Trimble Business Center software to develop models for our earthwork machinery; and at times speak with our field operations managers and trusted associates on the jobsites.
• Candidate will be encouraged to participate in bid preparations for underground utilities and roadways when time allows.

• Our leadership and estimating department always exhibit a “think outside of the box” approach to our bidding to ensure competitiveness in the market and deliver results for our large customer base. At times, the role will require the members of our team to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects being estimated at the same time in any given week.
