My favorite method of tracking the To Do's on post it notes! I color code the task by day, chore, room, etc. It keeps me organized and let's my brain have a quick idea how much is left to do!

Planning. One of my very favorite tasks, hobbies, obsessions: planning. It lets me also put my organizing obsessiveness brain into action. The holidays require detailed planning due to meals, shopping, parties, cleaning, purging, decorating, presents and time management. If you travel, that adds an additional layer of complexity.
This year, we are having a party in December, as well as hosting for Christmas. Planning is fun, but executing feels like I bit off more than I can chew. I am already tired!!! I just realized - I am usually the first Christmas card people get the day after Thanksgiving. This year, I have not even filled out 1 card.....
2022 Goal: Pare down! Prioritize! Find Joy!

I love to set a pretty table, so I have a lot of table accessories. One of the issues is always storage. For example, people put their placemats in drawers, which is fine. But then you can't see everything. So, I decided to hang my placemats from hangars/clips. I am also going to add my napkin rings to the neck of the corresponding hangar (like the pink pom-pom placemats). Easy - peasey organizing!

So excited to spend the weekend planning and organizing for a 1st birthday party.
Any tips for a successful event?

When September comes around, I always take a pause and plan for the final months of this year. What do I need to do? How can I organize my calendar and To Do list to make sure I can accomplish all that needs to be done. Because there is a lot!
1. List all events between September 1 - December 31. That includes birthdays, holidays, appointments, dinner parties, community events, vacations, and end of year doctor appointments to maximize health care deductibles. Don't forget about house maintenance too. Oh, the cars - what do they need as we are changing seasons. We are going from hot, summer weather into crispy fall weather and even cold, snowy weather. Any clothes shopping in your future?
Plan. Organize. Save.

I love life hacks! On page 130 of this book, life hack #495 gives yet another reason for white wine:
"White wine remains the best way to remove red wine stains."

I am such a fan of organizing. I also find that purging is like therapy. But so is shopping.....
Things in the Living Room to Get Rid of Right Now Get rid of these common living room clutter culprits and prepare to breathe a sigh of organized relief. Toss these unnecessary things for a living room that feels decluttered, at least some of the time.

Hope you did the "spring forward" for all of your clocks! The clocks on the oven and microwave are getting easier; the clock in my car may stay that way for 6 months....
It's also a good time to change the batteries in your smoke detectors and the filter in your furnace.

I learned. I saved. I "did". Focus today: Me. It feels pretty darn great.

I "committed" to my three MUST DOs. I thought it would be easy. For some reason, I do not prioritize myself. I must do better. Today, I will.

I am committed to myself this year. This week. Or this weekend. I am trying to 3 things for myself every day. I'm calling it my DSL list. DO something for me. SAVE something for me. LEARN something for me. Sounds easy enough to tackle....right? What suggestions do you have for me to tackle this ominous task?
