"The designs live in a world of iconography, and the cult of celebrity." — costume designer Emma Kingsbury on recreating Marilyn's most famous looks.

Take away the costumes, and you take away half of Marilyn's story. Her fashion was more than styling. Every one of her looks was built with intention and in close collaboration with designer William Travilla.

MARILYN costume designer Emma Kingsbury rebuilt some of the most memorable looks from Marilyn Monroe's life, engineering each piece to hold its silhouette through a full arabesque. The result: fashion history that doesn't just sit under glass, but dances.

BalletMet's partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio has officially commenced!

We are asking audience members to help us collect Lysol spray or wipes and paper towels at each performance of MARILYN. 🧼🫧 You bring the goods, BalletMet will collect and deliver them to the Ronald McDonald House to help keep the house clean and ready to welcome families.
