Happiest of birthday's to our brothers, Paco & O'Malley!!!
Today these handsome mfr's turn 7 years old!

These two guys have been at the refuge for a tad over five years and are the best duo, ever. Should they ever be adopted, they must go as a pair. They get along with all other dogs - often playing with Otis, Lil Toot, Gabby, and many other Adopt-a-Bulls that play well with others.

When they arrived they were pretty skittish, jumping at every movement and scared to receive attention. Now, they thrive on attention and literally cannot stop smiling. We're thankful for that - because, well - just look at them! They are handsome and such cutie pies.

So, wish these two a very happy 7th birthday if you will. Unfortunately, the brothers still haven't reached their sponsorship goal for the month, so if you'd like to help them out, please consider . Check out all options at --> https://mailchi.mp/71f40ddb9779/shaw-pbr

Small change...BIG IMPACT!
It's $5 Friday at Shaw PBR & PC Phat Farm :)

Now, is Thelma GORGEOUS in that sexy bandana, or what?!
And that pink flower bow - O.M.G. BEAUTIFUL

For those of you that know Thelma - you know she prefers to be filthy, dirty. She LOVES to roll around in the mud and dirt and just cake it on as thick as possible. We like to joke that she belongs up at the Phat Farm with the pigs - but in all honesty - the pigs are cleaner!!!

But that doesn't stop her from being the cutest thing we've seen on the internet today. So cute, in fact, that we challenge you to share her cute ass face with everyone you've ever met and ask them to a fiver to the pawsome Shaw Pit Bull Refuge.

WELCOME to the "ADOPT-A-BULL-ETIN"
News from Shaw PBR
Because if you can't trust a dog to report the news, who can you trust? _______________________________

Tyson E. Trubble, Crime & Public Safety Correspondent — Chaos & Community Affairs, reporting live from the Phat Farm, where Maizy was just cleared in an unauthorized zoomie incident. Her pops, Buck Finn, has declined to comment on the record.

The pigs and goats at Porkchop's Phat Farm got all in an uproar about the past two reports - where Thelma and Tiny Jasper delved into the how, what, when and why of each current Adopt-a-Bull. They demanded that their stories be told, so - here I am. Thankfully, I won't be as long-winded as the other two, because these critters on the farm can't stand still long enough to tell a long story. Everyone is into something all the time - total chaos.

I decided to report in chronological order as to who arrived first. Of course, this only applies to current Phat Farm residents. Boaris, Hector, and Piggy Sue have been a part of the farm since August of 2019. The trio was rescued from a bad situation - with Hector being in the worst condition ever seen - before or since. Boaris wasn't too far behind, although you'd never guess now. Piggy Sue was in fairly decent condition - bodywise. Hector, tho - he looked so emaciated and pitiful. But he still thought he was a big boar hog from the stories Mama A has told me. She also refers to Hector quite often as her little Mexican pig; and Boaris - well, BOARis; and Piggy Sue - self explanatory, lol.

Delbert was the next to arrive - at only 6-7 weeks old, I'm told he was a cutie. I think I actually remember seeing his little self, but he sure doesn't look like he does now. Pigs are really obstinate - and Delbert sure was a handful. He's about 6.5 years old now and spoiled absolutely rotten. Delbert just seemed to fit his goofy self - and still does!

Skunk - aka Skunky Monkey - arrived in July of 2020. He was a stray that ACO had been contacted about. The story is that some as**at folks had been shooting BBs at him (he actually has some embedded in his little body). He was taken to our local humane society and they contacted Papa K to help give some insight into pig care and behavior. Within a few days, Skunk had managed to attempt sexual relations with an AC unit and the HS contacted Papa K again to see if Skunk could join the Phat Farm pack. Skunk also likes to play jokes on staff and volunteers - in the way of sneaking up on them and giving a little 'love nip'. Aunt D used to tell Mama A about it and Mama A didn't believe Aunt D for the longest. Skunk is a super loving, friendly pig. Until Mama A saw it in person! Skunk's got jokes.

Louie, aka Babaloo (Baby Louie), was next to arrive. He was an owner-surrender and was already about 6.5 years old. He was living in the city limits and was fairly overweight. Now, he's a slim, trim, happy pig and loves it when Mama A tells him he sat in some black paint (his back half is black, lol). Louis has been part of the Phat Farm since February of 2021 - actually arriving on Papa K's birthday!

Wilma came in in August of 2021 - believed to be around 4 years old when she arrived. She was found as a stray and PCPF was contacted about taking her in. Eventually the story came out that she had been 'discarded' by a family that had gotten her from free from her original owner. Wilma is a beautiful black and white chunky girl with good hair, lol. If Mama A remembers correctly, the family that called about her had been calling her Wilma the two days she had been hanging around their home.

Charlotte (2.0) arrived in June of 22, believed to be about 2.5 years old. She was left behind by her previous owners when they moved, and the kind folks that bought the house tried to take care of her but weren't able to give her what she needed. After checking with the Phat Farm, Charlotte was transported to her new forever home. They had already named her Charlotte. She's a good pig, and eats breakfast with Snoopy Hoggy Hog and Louie - since they are all three fairly submissive to the other pigs.

Squiggles was another transfer from our local humane society. Believe to be about 2 years old on arrival, his name story is probably one of the funniest. You see, this was the first pig rescue Aunt Rhonda and Aunt Lesley had been on. They picked him up from the shelter, and on the way home contact Mama A about a medical emergency. There was some sort of squiggly, corkscrew like appendage under his belly! HAHAHAHAHA - Mama A laughed so hard. Hence, the name Squiggles.

Hill Billy was the second goat rescue. He came from a local ACO that had rescue him and his brother from a bad situation. His brother unfortunately didn't survive. Hill Billy had - and still has - the most impressive goatee you have ever seen before in your life. His name - well, I hope you get it... lol

Kid Rock was the next goat to arrive. He was an owner-surrender from just up the hill from us. His family had impulsively purchased him at a local farmer's day event and had been keeping him in the house. Now, I don't know if you've ever tried that - but OMG. It can be quite a handful. So, Kid Rock made his way to the Farm. Kid Rock is just another punny goat name - the Phat Farm is full of them!

Abbie and Snoopy Hoggy Hog came in July of 2023. Snoop had actually been adopted 2 years prior - before the Phat Farm became a sanctuary with no adoption options. So, technically, he arrived well before even Boaris, Hector and Piggy Sue. Snoop was found as a stray pig at about 4-5 months old. He's a beautiful boy - for a pig, anyway - and has one blue eye. He was adopted to family that already had Abbie and they became fast friends. A few years down the road, their human family grew with twins and to give Abbie and Snoop a better life, they contacted the Phat Farm. Abbie is a cutie-pie, white with black spots, and can act grumpy. She's actually bunking with Willie now - in the little pig pen, although I don't know why they think she's little... but, what do I know.

Buck Finn (goat) and Pig E Smalls (aka Big Pig) arrived together in March of 2024. Both were believed to be around 2 years old. Now, when I say big pig, I mean BIG PIG. He is HUGE! Prior to his arrival, we thought Boaris had grown into a big pig. NOPE - not anymore!! And THANKFULLY Big Pig was already castrated - I can't even being to image what that would entail - logistically and financially. Big Pig actually scared Mama A pretty bad not long after arrival. She was taking pics at the Farm one afternoon and Big Pig was a little excited. We found out he REALLY likes Mama A's flowery pants... His gigantic ass approached her, reared UP on her with his front paws on her chest and his big ole tusky head right at her face. Mama A was WAY down in the field, too - and isn't really the athletic or steady type. Papa K asked later why she didn't just run and she replied, "I would've fallen the first time I picked up a foot!" Big Pig wasn't being menacing - just trying to be SUPER friendly, but it was still quite the experience. Papa K told me he thinks maybe Big Pig's castration (whatever that is) wasn't complete so he gets a little hot and bothered sometimes still. As long as he doesn't come after me for relations, we'll be ok.

Buck Finn is a oreo-looking goat and he had this super impressive Elvis-curl between his horns (Mama A calls them hornies, lol). He likes to play "Who can I butt the most with my hornies" with Papa K, who believes that Buck Finn and Big Pig actually grew up together from babies. They pick on each other so bad, but never get mad at each other. I would, should either of them do me like they do each other - they don't know when to quit! The story was that they both had been hanging around a location for a while and the people that found them weren't able to find the original owners. Another funny - the photo that was sent of them made Big Pig look like a tiny pig, so imagine the shock value when he arrived!

Maizy and Horndog are at the Phat Farm because of Buck Finn... The bad boy he is. Did you know female goats can't get spayed? Mama A and Papa K were shocked to learn that. They had received their first female goat from Animal Control about a year or so prior to Buck Finn's arrival. Of course, arrangements were made to have a pen for Buck Finn to stay in until he could be castrated. Another lesson learned - goats don't like to be confined. He escaped that same night and several months later Maizy and Horndog arrived. There's a horrible story behind that, but Mama A refuses to talk about it because it makes her so angry, so I let it go. The baby goats were orphaned a day after being born and Mama A had to search high and low for help. An amazing person heard her plea and these super cute baby goaties got their first taste of Mama goat milk later that night. For many weeks, they were bottle-fed goat milk and were fostered a few weeks until they could join the Phat Farm pack. They bunked with the little pigs until they became so rambunctious they had to go into gen-pop. Now, these two are in to everything they can get into. Funny side note, their pops - Buck Finn - actually takes his job seriously and will step in and discipline them when they misbehave. Well, maybe not every time, because that would be constantly!

Willie was the last intake to the Phat Farm in November of 2024. He also was rescued by Aunt D with Animal Control who - again - brought Willie straight to Mama A's work. Sadly, just earlier that same day, elder-pig Bella had been adopted by God and Mama A believes Bella sent Willie to her. Willie was young, maybe about 4 months old, and was so cute. He still is pretty cute, even though he tries to trip you up by swirling in and out between your feet. Jokes on him, tho, because with my leggies I can just walk right over him!

I couldn't even begin to tell stories on all the ducks, geese, guinea and chickens that call the Phat Farm home. And I didn't include Goatmeal, Brownie or Morty because they aren't rescues. Most of the geese actually lived at the new site prior to it becoming the refuge, but as you may know - also can't get spayed/neutered and hatched out about 5 new ones over the years. A few were 'rescue purchased' from horrible conditions at farmers markets. And while several chickens were rescued in the beginning, most of our current ones are descendants from those or chickens that were added to the flock over the years. The first Muscovys were also 'rescue purchased' from horrendous farmers markets and Mama A/Papa K also added a handful to the Waddle Mafia having no idea they were such egg-hiders and would hatch so many babies. But, our feathered friends eat lots and lots of bugs which helps us out so much - not to mention the yummy eggs we get (the ones that can be found, anyway).

Whew, I thought this was going to be quick and easy - I guess all the chaos made it seem like there wasn't much meat on the bone... Now I'm hungry.

Last note - the Phat Farm doesn't get near the love and support us Adopt-a-Bulls do. They have a simple ask each month - a $25 donation for each pig or goat. Would you consider making a for them? https://www.facebook.com/donate/2463979657427976/ _______________________________
