Yesterday, we joined the City Government of Westerville, Ohio to celebrate the dedication of the newly renovated Westerville City Hall! 🎉

This project holds special meaning for our team. More than 40 years ago, Westerville City Hall was one of MA Design's first major municipal projects. Yesterday, we had the privilege of celebrating its next chapter alongside the City. The renovation honors the legacy of the original award-winning design while creating a more connected, collaborative, and welcoming civic campus for City staff and the community. It also reimagines the citizen experience by bringing customer service functions together into a more accessible, intuitive, and welcoming environment. From reimagined public spaces and an updated City Council Chamber to enhanced technology, improved accessibility, and renewed outdoor gathering spaces, the project is designed to support Westerville for decades to come.

Congratulations to the City of Westerville, City Council, City staff, Elford, Inc., all of our design and engineering partners, and everyone who helped bring this vision to life. We are proud to be part of this remarkable milestone.

What if small design decisions could help more students succeed?

When people think about accessibility on college campuses, they often think about ramps, elevators, and ADA compliance. But today's students experience learning environments in many different ways, and thoughtful design can help support a broader range of sensory, cognitive, and behavioral needs.

In the latest installment of our Designing for Neurodiversity series, we explore how colleges and universities can create more inclusive learning environments through:

✔ Flexible classrooms that give students choices in how they learn

✔ Acoustic strategies that reduce distractions and support focus

✔ Lighting that improves comfort, engagement, and communication

✔ Wellness spaces that allow students to decompress and reset

The most successful solutions often aren't obvious. They're simply spaces that work better for everyone.

We’re proud to have taken part in the Habitat for Humanity - MidOhio playhouse build, joining volunteers and community partners to help bring a little extra joy to local families.

From early planning to hands-on building, it was a great reminder of what’s possible when people come together to create something meaningful. We’re proud to support initiatives that create lasting opportunities for families and neighborhoods.

Seeing the excitement these playhouses bring to local families made the experience especially rewarding. We’re grateful to be part of work that extends beyond design and creates a meaningful impact in our community.
