My heart is so full. I am so grateful for .

For every minute spent in conversation or presentation, sitting on a panel or just at a restaurant table talking shop.

For each question asked and story swapped.

For all the laughs and hugs, handshakes and shoulders rubbed.

For everyone who took the time and spent the money to attend in person or online.

For all the presenters building and sharing knowledge.

For the collective support of the sponsors, vendors, and all the crew who kept things running.

I am so eternally grateful to and for organizing and facilitating such a profoundly important event. Your passion and purpose made this weekend what it was. Thank you for creating a community of good people, doing good work. It's a really special thing, and I'm so honoured to be part of it.

Also, big shout out to .3.media for capturing my 'rebirth' up there, and for being my side throughout it all (and reminding me to eat, drink, and go to bed).

Most of all, I am just so grateful to be back.

After heartache and grief, burnout and breaking open, SWIS2022 was my first professional event in 4 long years. I truly don't have words to describe how good it felt to be back doing the thing that I love to do most. The best way I can describe it was like opening the front door after a long, emotional and physically grueling trip - and knowing, without a shadow of self-doubt or glimmer of anxiety, that you've finally made it home.

I couldn't have dreamt of a better homecoming than .

Until next time.✌️

Sharing knowledge and educating through public speaking is my passion. It‘s always been.

I started performing on stage at 3 years old, and public speaking at 5 without any qualms or concerns (even with a speech impediment). From school-wide speech contests and class presentations, to academic conference talks, industry seminars, and lecturing at the university level - no matter the stage or format, it always felt so organic and natural. It was “that thing” I could see myself doing for the rest of my life, and being able to do so professionally was an absolute dream come true.

But over the course of 2018, things started to shift. The passion I had always felt was slowly replaced by anxiety and fear. Instead of feeling the beautiful flutter of nerves before stepping in front of an audience or class, I was overcome by panic, dread, and horror.

During this time, I was at a capstone in both my professional and academic careers, traveling the world, speaking at a wide variety of events - but speaking publicly just didn’t feel good anymore. At first, I chalked it up to not being prepared enough, poor sleep the night before an event, or jet lag whenever I travelled. By the time SWIS 2018 rolled around, I knew my recent development of "stage fright" represented something a lot bigger.

Simply put, I was not ok. The reality was, I hadn't been for awhile. My life was in a really chaotic and challenging place, and my physical, mental, and emotional health were rapidly deteriorating. I knew I had to make some dramatic and uncomfortable changes while I still could. And so I did.

Four years later, here we are.

Next week, I’ll be returning to the podium to present original ideas and share new research at SWIS 2022, and the thought of doing so feels really good again. It’s taken a lot to get to where I am today - a journey in itself that is still unfolding. With a lot of solace, space, support, and time, my passion has slowly returned - and for that I am so grateful.❤️

I am so excited to see everyone in Columbus next week for SWIS 2022. Make sure to check out for details!

To my husband on his birthday,

Today we celebrate you -

Your kindness, compassion, and equanimity.

Your courage, strength, and tenacity.

Your relentless drive and dedication to doing good.

Your unwavering encouragement and wisdom.

I could go on and on, because there is so much more that you are - and it just to me, but for so many others.

We are better humans because of you - because of all that you are and all that you do. Thank you for being the beautiful, brilliant force that you are.

Happy Birthday, .

I love you more than I ever thought possible. ❤️

Imagine if for 2 days every conversation you have, presentation or panel you attend, and connection you make (including while walking between conference rooms in a hotel hallway), can impact your health, performance, education, vocation, and life for the better. This is exactly what to expect from the 2022 EliteFTS SWIS Symposium in Columbus, Ohio on October 28-29, 2022.

This year, two absolute icons - and the legendary of have teamed up to deliver an event where the caliber of presenters, atmosphere, scope and depth of topics, knowledge exchange and camaraderie is unprecedented.

Me saying this isn’t a hyperbole or over exaggeration either. I have first hand experience as an attendee and presenter at previous SWIS Symposiums and EliteFTS seminars.

Collectively, these events are where I’ve met some of my closest friends and most truest colleagues.

Where I networked and developed long lasting relationships that supported my professional growth in a monumental way.

Where I have gone to translate my work so that it can be understood and applied by practitioners, coaches and athletes across numerous areas.

Where I have - and plan to again, pilot new frameworks and share never before discussed research findings.

Where I go to learn.

After taking a step back from the professional stage for the last few years, I am SO excited for this event... especially since it’s the perfect place to spill the tea on what I’ve been working on!

Sign up now and save. I’ll link the info in my bio. Hope to see you there!
