𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗴𝗲𝘁 “𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀” 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 Target - 𝗹𝗲𝘁’𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗴𝗮𝗽!

If you know me, you know I’m always at Target. Like, a LOT. So much so that if I ever go missing, definitely check the dollar spot before calling the police.

And for any TRUE Target fan, getting a book on their shelves is the holy grail.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁?

I wrote Sole Mates at “𝗧𝗮𝗿-𝗷𝗮𝘆”!

True story: after hip surgery, my doctor prescribed 1,000 steps per day. So I jotted down ideas on my phone as I wandered the aisles of my “happy place.”

Now Sole Mates is stocked in libraries, bookstores and museums. And I have been invited to speak at events across the country.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁?

To quote a famous movie line, 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗲. But I need your help with the perfect ending, AND to make kids fall in love with reading again.

𝗚𝗼 𝗯𝗶𝗴, 𝗼𝗿 𝗴𝗼 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲.

There are 1,956 Target stores in the United States. If Sole Mates can get into just ONE of them, we win. And by “we,” I mean you, me, the company, and the kids!

Either Taylor Swift or the Bible (I can't remember which) said step boldly into the light. Well, everybody, LACE UP!

Literally millions of our children are behind in reading scores and that’s heartbreaking.

🚨To help close the gap, a portion of all Sole Mates sales at Target will support Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) and child literacy.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱.

You don’t have to already be famous with PR and “connections” to inspire the joy of reading. Sole Mates hits themes that are easy for kids to relate to, so they don’t lose interest in reading and fall behind.
