There's a big difference between following local rules and establishing an organization-wide policy. Walmart is more than a store to its loyal customers; in many ways it validates and reinforces values and attitudes.

It will be interesting to see how the Karens and Kens react to this. Let's hope they reinstate greeters and they train them in hand-to-hand combat.
