I’m proud that Ohio’s new capital budget delivers on many of the local priorities I advocated for, including $500,000 for the Children’s Theatre Workshop to restore Toledo’s Historic Ohio Theatre!
This funding will help preserve one of Toledo’s most iconic landmarks and move this ambitious restoration project one step closer to completion. Thanks to the vision and leadership of the Children’s Theatre Workshop, the Ohio Theatre is on its way to a bright new future!

I’m proud to have secured $300,000 in Ohio’s new capital budget for critical improvements at the Collingwood Arts Center.
Delivering results for Toledo means investing in the places that strengthen our community. In 2024, we won state support for the center for the first time in its history, securing $100,000 to help replace the roof. This year, we secured an additional $300,000 to support the roof project and install new windows.
The Collingwood Arts Center is a vital community asset, and I’m committed to helping preserve it for generations to come.

Republican Gov. Mike DeWine wants Ohio to abolish the death penalty, saying it is not a deterrent Gov. Mike DeWine says he believes Ohio should abolish the death penalty. Great dialogue today with TARTA leadership about the crucial role public transit plays in regional mobility and economic growth. TARTA is doing great things for our communities and Ohio must do more to prioritize transit and support their success.
