They say you never something until it's gone. I thought about TRS Lounge over the weekend the ups and downs I thought about the staff and all the people that come out to the lounge. Hell I even thought about the fight I almost got in 2 weeks ago. I've been in business for a long time. It started with Centerstage on Veterans years ago then I got the Compound event center on Macon rd. After 2 years Crystal and I opened up Trs lounge 1.0 with Jamaal S. Austin as Thee Bartender. I recall the size of it. Small but acceptable. One year Later trslounge 2.0 was Born it was twice as big hell we even added hookahs cloud 9 to be exact (ran by Rob) I missed that place and the vibe but the stereotype of the Southside was one reason why it had to come to an end. In August almost 3 years ago TRSLounge 2911 Airport Thurway suite 10 has in the making. (I LOCKED MYSELF INSIDE THERE FOR MONTHS) Very few people knew it was there I had put curtains over the front glass and always parked in the back. I remember literally building every piece of furniture inside From August until November I spent the night inside there many nights. I recall officially opening and excited that people actually liked what I had built. (Mr. Hold my beer) yet it's been a few years now and when it's time to move on I was told I would know. Well today it's official. I know I understand and I accept it. Tonight is the last night I will have it open. Tomorrow is a new day a new adventure and a new chapter in my life. I promise you all columbus doesn't own me a thing. I've heard all the stereotypes about this city but I dont agree with them. This city has great potential and amazing citizens. I'm happy that I got to meet some many people. I know Crystal stayed behind the scenes a lot but to say she didnt run all those businesses would do her a disservice. To the staff of trs Chanel Monei Alphonzo Jukes Nikki Nicole Domonique Charneē Precious Gayle Shuntrice King June Mia Chelsea i love yall to life security yall too lol. As for me I think imma going to step a few steps back and relax a little. In my heart I pray that I did my sisters name some decency. I wish down the line the city of Columbus-Ga remembers Trs Lounge as something that was good for the city. I hope a few people come by tonight to say their last goodbyes to Trs.
