Let’s talk lepidolite and why I chose it to be the first crystal of the month.
Did you know that it’s original name was “Lilalite” named after its lilac/lavender colors.
Lepidolite is a soft lithium rich mineral from the mica group. It is most commonly found in India. Mica is a mineral that can be cut into very thin pieces and it is often used for thermal insulation.
As for Lepidolite’s metaphysical properties, it is known to be the stone of emotional balance and stability. I chose this stone not only because it’s sparkles, but because it one (out of three) of my go to’s for anxiety. It’s lithium attributes are wonderful for anyone who experiences stress or anxiety.
Lepidolite is a friable crystal, meaning it should not be in water for long periods of time. It can also fade if left in the sun for long period of time.
