Sunday evening at the Dark Star Jubilee I realized I had lost my memory card with a day and half worth of photos on it. This was about half way through the DSO set. I turned on my phone flashlight and started walking. About halfway down in front of the vendors right behind the soundboard tent, I caught a glint from my light. It was a quarter...and my memory card right next to it. A little scratched up but fully functional. Talk about needing a miracle. Before I get the Dark Star Orchestra photos I wanted to post the kids (big and small) parade shots from the Dark Star Jubilee. If music and music festivals have taught me anything over the years it is this. You are never too old to have fun, be silly, or wear a costume. The ability to let go for a few days and just have fun, whatever that means to you, is a superpower. The annual kids parade is the manifestation of what I am trying to put into words. It is simply joyful, silly, fun. Folks, it has been 8 long years since I have seen Galactic on stage. I was extremely excited to get to see and photograph them again. What a set. On a recent trip to Puerto Rico this guy/gal was spotted patrolling the valley by our house. Through some internet sleuthing we determined he is a Puerto Rican Sharp-Shinned Hawk. Beautiful bird in a beautiful country. Puertoricogram

I am a little late getting these posted. I can now add Rodeo to my list of things photographed. So much fun to see all the smiles on faces at this event. The theater and Burwell Building were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, and the theater was extensively restored in the early 2000s. I attended to many shows to count here, so many memories, so much good music.
