My little wood duck friends are still showing up every day. In the mornings, they sit in the trees just off my back deck, keeping an eye on everything.

I can’t go out the back doors anymore without spooking them, so I’ve had to get creative. Most days, I either peek through the blinds or slip out the front door and quietly make my way around to the side of the house.

I did snap this photo during golden hour, and it turned out pretty well considering they were tucked in the shadows. Maybe one day they’ll pose in full sun for me.
