Rustic Ruffwear Leather

I haven’t posted lately, but I’m still doing leatherwork and keeping busy. Dog collars are still my main gig, but I still make some belts, rifle slings, or throw in a laser project here and there.

3 days of classes. I learned a lot! I’m self taught from mostly YouTube, but YouTube can’t give you advice or feedback. Joe nitpicked my work, as I had hoped he would. I was the only person with experience in our class. He helped me improve my carving and tooling. I also finally drew my first pattern. There’s a lot of practice to go before I’m comfortable with that, but I at least have a foundation to grow on now.

These 5 students had never attempted to draw a tooling pattern before walking into class today… 6 hrs later, look what they did!

Here’s a Christmas belt order that I can finally share. This feather design was a fun one to tool!

A rifle sling that I made recently for a mother to give to her son on his wedding day. Such a sweet memento! 💝

I finished buckstitching these belts this afternoon. I love how they turned out! I got to see Hannah’s face when she saw it for the first time and she was so happy. 🥰

My girls have been asking for belts for a while now. I finally found some time to get them done. They picked their designs and colors. I love how they turned out, so cute and girly!

Between making collars and having 2 little kids on summer break, I haven’t been very good about posting this summer. Here are a few of the collars I have made this summer. My dogs were also due for some new neckwear, so Bruno is modeling his.
