The shadow of the Almighty is an indicator of his nearness. God has been my shade while traveling to my promise. The shade allows me to regain composure and restore the hydration of my spirit. The shadow has been my hiding place in plain sight. I transitioned from running to my affliction to running to the alter—my place of total expression, my inner settlements. Oh, to be seen by God and protection from man! While resting in the shadow, God has shown me unexplainable peace. To learn God as my secret place has saved me from the weakness of my strength. To have someone know and understand where you hurt and heal you without judgment or shame.
