Working on a father/son project. My 15 year old son has become quite the vinyl aficionado and it seemed like a good time to build a center for his equipment. He and I have been working on this in our free time for the last month, and now we’re down to painting! It’s looking like this will be in its home by Christmas.
Happy Holidays everyone!

I spent about 10 hours at the shop Sunday…who says that I don’t know how to enjoy my weekends? First project in the new shop? A pair of 8’ long mobile work tables for Daisy Mae Designs! I also made another cardboard rack for their shipping department, but didn’t get a picture of it before they started using it.

As some of you might know, I’m in the process of moving my shop…again. While I’m nowhere near ready to take on new projects, I couldn’t say no to a friend of mine who works for the county’s 911 call center. These are brackets that mount on top of the cube walls and hold plexiglass panels to keep our people safe. Not my best work, but they’ll do the job! Had I been completely set up, I would have used my CNC machine to make nice clean cuts; these were done on a bandsaw!
Happy Sunday, all!

Did I mention that we have a CNC machine now? Here’s a couple of our latest creations!

A new-to-me toy arrived at the shop today. I’m looking forward to making cool things with this, and collaborate with Daisy Mae Designs on some future projects!

Aside from rebuilding drawer boxes for folks wishing to push out a kitchen remodel, I’ve been focusing on building custom fixtures for commercial clients. These are brackets that I made today: they will support a couple of air cleaners in a shop where it wasn’t feasible to mount them to the ceiling. I’ll be setting up a dust collection system at the same location for this phase, and returning to build some custom work tables at a later date.
Happy Sunday!

Hey friends! My apologies for not posting much lately. My wife and I own Daisy Mae Designs, and we recently expanded our space. That said, I have been put to work building fixtures like the ones pictured in this post and a ton of other work to make our business functional.
I’m seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, and hope to be back on here soon with pictures of cool custom pieces!

Good day, friends! I know I’ve been a little quiet lately...mainly because I haven’t had any new projects to share. Yes, I’ve been approached by clients requesting quotes on custom pieces, but it’s not responsible to take on projects while you’re MOVING YOUR SHOP!
..there, I said it: my shop has moved next door to 195 Oak Street. Much larger space, and best of all, it’s at ground level! Here’s a snap of my main space and my tool room.
Looking forward to making some sawdust in the new space!

As promised, here’s a picture of my latest project. Tomorrow comes some stain and varnish before I mount the name plates on them.
It’s a small project, but I feels good to get back in the shop!
Hey friends! I have been quite busy running my son’s Cub Scout Pack and preparing for next month’s crossover ceremony, when we send my den of boys onto Boy Scouts. That said, this hound has not been as crafty as he’d like to be in recent months! The good news is I have a woodworking project to mark the end of the Cub Scout career for my son and his denmates; I start that today!
Pictures to come soon!
Have a blessed day, and thanks for supporting small businesses like ours!
