We took this Shake siding down to bare wood, primed, and then painted. This paint job will last the owner for years and years

Before heading back home and getting back to the routine, I hiked back out to take this nighttime picture of Delicate Arch in Arches National Park

I took a little break from work and went out to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks for a few days. This is Delicate Arch and I plan to go back tonight to get an  astronomy shot in the background.

It was a brutal week for weather last week, but the end result was all good!

A year and a half ago was the first time that we utilized our Festool Planex drywall sander before we painted. This has become standard operational procedure. It resultes in an ultra smooth wall, first because the wall is sanded and second the light on the sander points out every imperfection, which is marked and fixed before painting. The Planex drywall sander is connected to a HEPA certified extractor that leaves a virtually dust free environment.

The one issue was when my workers fixed the imperfections in the wall. They like to hand sand in order to get a better finish, resulting in little piles of dust everywhere. We are now providing the workers with these hand sanders that are also connected to the extractor, resulting in a completely dust, free experience for the client while also having an ultra smooth wall.
