A recent study grew chrysanthemums under LEDs and found that the cooler temps added an additional 3-4 days of growing time before the flowers could be harvested while maintaining quality.
"Since the autumn of 2021, the prices of electricity and gas have risen sharply, which has further reinforced the urgency of reducing energy consumption for the sector. To enable profitable chrysanthemum cultivation, energy consumption for lighting and heating will have to be reduced."
