Well, the 2026 Congress Super Sale and Ranch Horse Sale is now in the planning stage! There will be some changes coming this year and we'll update you more later, but please start thinking about those good yearlings, prospects and riding horses you might be consigning. Per the Congress, the auction is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2026.

Notes: “Laredo” is a 9-year-old registered buckskin gelding with the dispositon, eye appeal and training that checks all the boxes. He is stocky made with good bone and is built to last. Laredo has done it all from arena riding to babysitting the beginners. He’s kid-safe, quietminded, and meets every ride with the same steady, dependable attitude. Laredo has a willing, “yes sir” mindset that makes him a pleasure to be around.

This gelding is versatile: soft in the face, moves off leg pressure, neck reins, side-passes, ground ties, and trailer loads with zero fuss. He’s just as comfortable in the arena (English or Western) as he is out on the trail or in the pasture.

Laredo confidently handles all the trail and ranch obstacles: bullwhips, gunfire, tarps, flags, water, bridges — none of it phases him. If you’re looking for a solid, trustworthy gelding with all the hard work done, and a kind, willing nature that fits the whole family, Laredo is your man.

From deer jumping up in the woods to equipment clattering down the road, Steel stays calm, focused, and steady. He’s got a good one-hand neck rein, is soft in the bridle, and responsive to both leg and seat cues. He’s handy with all the buttons—side pass, turn around, leg yield—but if you don’t want a performance horse, he’s just as content to relax and enjoy the trail.

NOTES: "Mickey" is a gelding with the kind of personality that makes him instantly part of the family. He earned his name from our daughter who insisted he be named after Mickey Mouse. And he lives up to it with his fun, family-friendly personality. He craves just about the same attention as the family dog and he’ll even sit and lay down like one. He’s always careful and steady on the trail, yet broke and versatile enough to step into the arena and go to work. Mickey has the mind of a horse twice his age and is very receptive to what’s asked of him. In the arena he’s a blast to ride, with a deep stop off your seat, a correct and fun turn around, and the ability to move off your leg with ease.

He’s been tracking the roping sled and shows all the potential to step up as a rope horse prospect, but he’s just as comfortable loping pretty circles, stretching into a long trot, or carrying himself softly in English tack. With his willingness to frame up and stay soft, Mickey could just as easily go in a dressage direction, making him a truly versatile all-around partner—western, English, dressage, ranch, or trail. Not looking for a performance horse? Mickey is just as happy to stroll down the trail on a loose rein, taking care of riders of any level. Mickey takes every obstacle in stride – teeter totter bridge, cowboy curtain, tarps, whips, gunfire, and flags are all old news to him. What makes Mickey extra special is his loving personality. He adores people of all ages and has been nothing but kind and gentle with our kids. He has that rare combination of being broke, dependable, and safe, while affectionate in a way that makes him irresistible to be around. Around the barn, Mickey is a joy. He’s been kept in a stall and turned out on pasture with no bad habits.
