Despite a broken jaw, 32 Chunk has eaten his way to the top of the Fat Bear Week 2025 bracket after two years as runner-up in the contest. Fat Bear Week is held every year to celebrate the bears of Brooks River as they finish their bulk before they go into hibernation for the winter. As one of the largest bears that resides along the river, Chunk was estimated to be more than 1,200 pounds, according to park officials.
