Yesterday we taught a group of women how to play Mahjong. They walked in as complete strangers, a little nervous, a little intimidated, and unsure what to expect.

An hour later, they were laughing, cheering each other on, exchanging phone numbers, and already planning their next game together.

Mahjong is so much more than a game. It’s connection, community, and creating a place where everyone feels welcome. And watching strangers leave as friends will never get old.

Tuesday Tip

Under Consecutive run line 5, second option.

Remember: the SECOND pair has to match the dragon.
If your second pair is dots, then your dragons must be soaps.

My biggest strategy tip?
I always try to have my pairs completed after the Charleston. Once your pairs are set, you can use your jokers much more freely for the rest of the hand.
