Valentine’s Making Party for Kids

Saturday, February 12th 11:00am-12:00pm

Join us the weekend before Valentine’s Day to create your own festive cards for friends and family! We will be crafting with glue guns, glitter, and more, so dress for mess! Once we have completed our valentines, students are invited to join us for a sweet snack! We will have a hot cocoa bar along with small treats for each participant. There will be vegan and gluten free options available. Each ticketed student will also receive a take home goodie bag (with stickers, etc.) at the party’s end. This is an all ages class, but children ages 7 and under will need to have a parent or guardian present for the entirety of the class. Parents and caretakers of older attendees are welcome to peruse the building during our class: Grab a sammich at Ollie and Finn’s Counter, shop our Micro Retail Artist’s spaces and more! The CAB has a lot going on, so make plans to spend some time with us in the Arts District!

Class will take place on level one of the Columbia Arts Building in the classroom.

Creative Crayons Workshop for Kids - “Leaves of Gratitude”⠀
Saturday, November 10, 2018⠀
9:30 AM - 10:30AM⠀
Ages 7 and up⠀/$10⠀
Join for this fun, hands-on kids class as we create “Leaves of Gratitude” with Shannon of Creative Crayons Workshop! The process is taking crayon shavings, melting with an iron in between wax paper and then cutting out the desired leaf shapes to create a stained glass effect. We will write things we are thankful for on the leaves. ⠀⠀
Your kids will get to take home their fall-inspired creations that day. They can display their leaves of gratitude in a window to catch the sun’s rays, or use them as a beautiful and creative centerpiece at your Thanksgiving table.⠀⠀
About Your Artisan Instructor, Shannon Bennett:⠀⠀
“Our son wanted some brick themed crayons. Being a mom of 4 kiddos, and a home school mom at that, the challenge was on! We quickly saw how excited other people got over the creatively made crayons and our wheels started turning. One thing led to another and before we knew it, the kids had named us 'Creative Crayons Workshop' -kind of like Santa's Workshop, only our little people make crayons instead of toys.”⠀
