Okay, my bigger-boobed runners, I need some help. šŸ˜‚ What sports bra are we running in these days?!

I used to SWEAR by Moving Comfort. As you can see, the girls were locked, loaded and going absolutely NOWHERE. šŸ˜‚ Unfortunately, Moving Comfort no longer exists, and now that I’m getting back to running, I need to find a replacement.

I need HIGH support. No bouncing, no adjusting and no foolishness while I’m trying to get these miles in. šŸ˜‚

What are y’all running in? Help a returning runner out!

Happy Monday!

Leg day humbled me this morning. šŸ˜‚ I had every intention of getting in a few miles afterward, but my legs quickly reminded me that we’re still figuring this running thing out again. So I hit the pavement for one mile and called it.

Right now, it’s not about how far or how fast. It’s about getting back into the rhythm of showing up, learning what my body can handle alongside weight training, and building from there.

One mile down. 29 weeks to go.

My son: ā€œMa…you never get rid of clothes.ā€

Me: ā€œWell…this one has been with me since Japan in 1997.ā€ šŸ˜‚

At this point, it’s not a dress…

It’s family. šŸ¤£ā¤ļø

Looking at this little girl in the party hat, I wonder if she had any idea where life would take her. The victories. The setbacks. The lessons. The miles. The tears. The laughter. The people who would come and go. The strength she would discover she had all along.

Today, that little girl turns 50.

Fifty doesn’t feel like an ending. It feels like freedom. Freedom to dream bigger, run farther, lift heavier, protect my peace, choose joy, and keep becoming the woman I was always meant to be.

Before the celebrations began today, I did something that felt fitting…I laced up my shoes and went for a run. Not because it was fast. Not because it was far. Simply because I wanted to remind myself that I can always begin again.

RunSYRun has never been just about running. It’s always been about resilience. It’s about getting back up every single time life knocks you down and believing there’s still another mile left in you.

Marathon training begins soon, and I’ll be sharing this next chapter….the victories, the struggles, and every mile in between.

To everyone who has followed my journey over the years, thank you. Whether you’ve been here from the beginning or joined somewhere along the way, your encouragement has meant more than you’ll ever know.

From the little girl holding a birthday balloon… to the woman I am today… I’m grateful for every step that brought me here.

Chapter 50 starts now.

Let’s run. šŸ–¤šŸƒšŸ¾ā€ā™€ļø

I spent some time this morning reading through the testimonials on my RunSYRun website. I hadn’t looked at them in a while, and honestly, they reminded me of something I’d almost forgotten.

For years I had the privilege of helping people accomplish things they never thought possible. First 5Ks. Half marathons. Full marathons. Personal records. But what stayed with me most wasn’t the finish lines…it was watching people discover they were capable of more than they believed.

To everyone who trusted me with your journey, THANK YOU. You gave me just as much as I hope I gave you.

Life has taken me in different directions over the past few years, but reading those stories reminded me that this chapter isn’t over. It’s simply been on pause.

In two weeks, Tosha and I begin training for our first marathon. I’m going to journal the entire experience on RunSYRun…the early mornings, the long runs, the victories, the setbacks, and everything in between. My hope is that you’ll laugh with us, encourage us when training gets hard, and celebrate with us when we cross that finish line.

If you’ve followed RunSYRun over the years, I’d love for you to keep following along. The mission has always been bigger than running. It’s about believing you’re capable of more than you think.

Here’s to new miles, old passions, and proving to myself that I’m not done yet.

There’s something about spending a few hours with nothing but water, fresh air, and a fishing pole. No fish were harmed in the making of this adventure. My complexion, however, took one for the team. šŸ˜‚

Today I found a Planet Fitness and got my workout in. Somewhere between realizing my gloves were missing and my watch was dead, I laughed because those are usually the exact reasons I would’ve turned around and left this B***h!!

Not today, SATAN!

My fitness journey isn’t about perfect workouts or perfect conditions. It’s about making the adjustment, getting it done anyway, and moving on. šŸ’ŖšŸ¾šŸ’ŖšŸ¾šŸ’ŖšŸ¾
