Statewide Fire Service Training Needs Survey
Starting February 6, 2026, the University of Missouri Extension's Fire and Rescue Training Institute (MU FRTI) is launching a statewide survey to better understand the current training needs of Missouri's fire service.
We ask for one response per department, ideally from leadership (Chief, Training Officer, etc.), to ensure accurate representation.
The survey takes only 10–15 minutes and must be completed in a single session (no saving progress).
Here is a link to the sample survey

This week The Fire Service Leadership Enhancement Program (FSLEP) spent some time at the Capital in Jefferson City.
FSLEP is a unique, quarter-long professional development initiative designed specifically for fire and rescue service executives. It enhances leadership and management skills while preparing participants for the complex opportunities and challenges facing the fire service today and in the years ahead.
Governor Mike Kehoe visit highlighted the critical role of professional development in building strong, forward-thinking leaders for Missouri's fire and emergency services. He took time to speak directly with fire officers from departments across the state, sharing his appreciation for their service and commitment to public safety.
Thank you Mike Kehoe for supporting the Missouri Fire Service.
