A huge BRAVI TUTTI to the company of COMPANY presented last night and tonight by University of South Carolina Musical Theatre. Great job by one and all, onstage and off. (we can't help but give a special shout out to some of the opera folks in the cast. And a very large thank you to Candice Pipkin and Greg Boatwright for guiding them.

Opera at USC is delighted to celebrate our very own Dr. Lynn Kompass and Dr. Michael LaRoche, who were honored as award recipients at the 2026 USC School of Music Awards Ceremony.

🎶 Dr. Lynn Kompass is awarded the 2026 Cantey Outstanding Faculty
Award. This award is presented to a faculty member who has demonstrated exemplary dedication to the School of Music in the areas of teaching, performance, scholarship, or service. Dr. Kompass serves as a professor and vocal coach for Opera at USC.

🎶 Dr. Michael LaRoche is awarded the 2026 Centennial Outstanding Staff Award. This award recognizes a staff member who has significanty impacted the School of Music. Dr. LaRoche serves USC in IT support as well as the Opera at USC Tech Director.

Opera at USC is so grateful for our Administrative Assistant Lisa Smith! 🎶❤️🎶 From organizing ticket sales to handling incoming props and always being a friendly face, Lisa does it all! Happy Administrative Professionals Day! 🖊📑🗃
