On November 16th, the SMC team was able to bless the Monticello Road community by supplying free groceries that the students of CIU collected and donated. It was such an amazing time to be out in the community and pray over for those who came. Our desire for this outreach was to allow the community to know that we are here to help serve them and to not be a burden but to show the love of Christ.

On October 29th, the SMC team led the student body in a time of worship, prayer, and outreach into the community. It was a great time of serving and focusing on local mission. In the afternoon session, we had Pastor Chris and Becky Justice speak on how to serve well in the local community and see as a mission field that the Lord has set forth.
Food Outreach | we are collecting canned and dry foods starting today and ending November 13th! These collected items will be put into bags that will be passed out for those who live in the Monticello Rd community. There are bins in the lobbies of all houses to place what has been collected in and designate points to each house. For those who do not live on campus, feel free to drop them by the Resident Life office.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 5K this past Sunday! We were able to raise $450 to Lighthouse for Life, a human trafficking organization in Columbia that raises awareness against s*x trafficking.
