I posted this exact picture 3 years ago today. I remember 3 years ago thinking it would be forever until Evelyn was ready to read The Fisherman’s Family. Now it’s one of our favorites and we read it regularly.
It’s an older book (1968) that was only released once in the US. My grandparents had it in their book collection when I was a kid and I loved it so much I claimed it when they started pairing down their stuff. 💙 I feel like it’s one of those beautiful books that only a handful of people will ever read. Do you have any rare books in your collections?

If you follow me on my personal IG page (), you already know that I got my most recent foster care placement 4 weeks ago. ❤️ The sweetest little 8 year old girl who is already a part of our family in every way except legally.

🥰 3 weeks ago, she started calling me momma.
🏊‍♀️ 2 weeks ago she officially learned how to swim without any help.
🦩1 week ago she got to go to the zoo for the first time.
☀️ And this week, we’re soaking up all the sunshine before school starts next week.

Needless to say, it’s been a busy month! 😅 I’m still chugging along on all open Etsy orders in the quiet moments while the girls are sleeping. Thanks for being kind as my lead times are long and even so I sometimes still struggle with the deadlines. 😬 This little shop still brings so much joy and much appreciated extra income as I try to raise my kiddos. 😊 Thanks for being here.

Baby rolls are the best medicine for a sour mood. Hard to be mad when you’re snuggling a sweet chunker. 🥰🥰
