If youβre in the area near Chicken Salad Chick on Sunset Blvd in Lexington, we encourage you to stop by and listen to the powerful voices from the Veterans Association of America.
Su***de prevention, especially for communities as impacted as our nationβs veterans, is a critical concern for Ember Rising. While our primary work focuses on youth education through Social Emotional Learning, arts expression, and animal welfare advocacy, our mission is rooted in a broader belief: everyone deserves the opportunity to live a life free from overwhelming mental stress and strain.
Accessible, well-funded, and properly managed mental health support is essential not only for todayβs communities, but for the strength and well-being of future generations. Supporting one another starts with listening, and today is a meaningful opportunity to do just that.
Please consider donating, if you are able, to this worthy cause.

β¨ Merry Christmas from Ember Rising β¨
This season, weβre reminded that even the smallest ember can become a guiding light. Christmas invites us to pause, reflect, and lean into hope, renewal, and love for one another.
At Ember Rising, we believe in fostering hope, transforming lives, and defending dignity, especially for those navigating some of their darkest nights. Like the phoenix, we rise together, carried by compassion, community, and the quiet strength found in generosity.
From our hearts to yours, may your Christmas be filled with warmth, peace, and moments that remind you why hope is always worth holding onto. π₯β€οΈ
Thank you for being part of our journey.

Hope Zion, Dream to Reality
The idea of Hope Zion started when Justin was a Junior at Westwood High School in the DECA Program. DECA, which stands for the Distributive Education Clubs of America prepares students for futures in marketing, business, hospitality, law and finance.
Once in the program, in the year of 2017, Justin had to choose a business idea to present at competitions. He along with Faith Anna Ediger, had the idea of Hope Zion Home, a home for teens of abusive and neglectful homes. He competed at the state level of the competition and won 2nd place in the entire state of South Carolina at the DECA State Career Development Conference in the category of Start-Up Business. When he walked onto the stage to accept the award he knew the organization had the potential to be so much more than just an award winning high school project. He knew then, seeing how the idea of Hope Zion was so well received, that it needed to be a reality.
The organization as a whole was directly influenced by Justin's knowledge of people close to him who have suffered in abusive or neglectful households and he along with Faith and Jackson vowed to change it. So, on February 14th, 2019, Hope Zion, Home for Help was officially incorporated, and as they say the rest is history.
