Meet Gigi, an 8-year-old Basset Hound owned by the Walls family! 🤎

Gigi’s personality can best be described as… a sausage. 😂 She loves hot dogs, following Dad around everywhere he goes, and rolling in chicken p**p whenever she gets the chance.

Before becoming part of the Walls family, Gigi was a fox hunting dog, but now she enjoys taking strolls through Rural King — where she occasionally leaves a little “present” on the floor (it’s still a work in progress 😅).

Despite her goofy personality, Gigi is afraid of men with beards and does not like being without her humans.

We love this hilarious, lovable girl and all the personality she brings! 🐶

This parasite's larvae feed on living tissue and can affect pets, not just livestock. The good news: a few simple habits go a long way.
• Keep your pet's flea and tick prevention current
• Check them over after time outdoors — ears, paws, and skin folds
• Clean and cover any wound, and make sure it's healing

Call your veterinarian about any wound that smells bad, won't heal, seems to get deeper, or has visible maggots — and never try to treat a suspected case yourself.

Welcome Dr. Alana!
Dr. Alana Miller joined us as a mixed animal associate on June 8th, 2026. She grew up on both coasts (Washington State and New Jersey) and completed undergraduate studies at Delaware Valley University in Doylestown, PA. She then came to the midwest to attend veterinary school at the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Alana enjoys working with all species and especially enjoys small ruminants and pigs! She spends her free time cooking, mountain biking, and fulfilling demands from her cat Pudge. 🐾🐷

Meet Crosby, a 7-year-old Goldendoodle owned by the Search Family! 💛

Crosby has the bubbliest personality and loves peanut butter yogurt bites. Originally from Kentucky, he made his way to Illinois as a special Christmas present. 🎄🐶

He’s always ready for belly rubs, happily rolls over for attention, and has the sweetest habit of bringing new guests a shoe when they come over. 👟😂

One thing Crosby is not a fan of? Balloons! 🎈😅
