Thirty years after their own GSSM graduation, Tapp and Legare Gresham '96 returned to campus to inspire the next generation of Govies as speakers for GSSM's 37th Commencement Ceremony.

Their message to the Class of 2026 reflected the values that have guided their remarkable careers in engineering and actuarial science: curiosity, resilience, lifelong learning, and a willingness to embrace new opportunities.

Memorial Day is a time to remember the service members who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.

Today, we honor their courage, reflect on the freedoms they protected, and keep their families, friends, and fellow service members in our thoughts. We are also grateful for the veterans and active-duty members of the GSSM community whose service continues to inspire us.
