Meet Our Garden Intern
“My name is Madison. I grew up on a beef farm in Central PA. It was through this experience that I learned the value of raising food both for us and for our animals. Now as an adult, I continue to garden and forest forage while studying Biology at Millersville University. My future career goal is to contribute to ecological restoration efforts in wild areas across the country, specifically working with plant habitat. I hope this internship will be beneficial to my acquisition of long term planning skills while learning community involvement in projects that will benefit the people who we serve.

-A fun fact about me is that I am learning to forage for edible and medicinal mushrooms and plants while hiking.”
