Want to help students move beyond simply completing assignments and into creating work that matters?
Join this session to discover powerful tech tools and practical strategies that help students publish their work for authentic, real-world audiences. We’ll explore how digital publishing increases student engagement, ownership, creativity, and voice while giving learners meaningful opportunities to share their ideas beyond the classroom walls.
Participants will also learn how literary structures provide a “plug and play” framework that empowers students to incorporate their own language, vocabulary, and personal style to make writing uniquely theirs.
From drafting to publishing, this session will highlight multiple platforms and tools that support students in transforming their work into polished pieces ready to share with relevant and authentic audiences.

Classroom management doesn’t have to feel reactive or overwhelming.
PAL Classrooms 2.0 is a professional learning initiative designed to support middle school teachers (grades 6–8) with research-backed, proactive classroom management strategies. Developed by the eMINTS National Center at the University of Missouri, PAL 2.0 helps educators create prosocial classrooms where students are engaged, self-regulated, and ready to learn.
Instead of focusing on discipline after problems occur, PAL 2.0 shifts the focus toward building positive classroom environments that encourage student success from the start, all without adding extra burden to teachers’ already full plates.
