- Fun Fact, the blue pendant light is from One Eared Cow Glass, a custom blown glass shop, and the homeowners purchased this light many years ago in honor of adopting their son. They have brought the pendant from house to house with them over the years so of course it got its own spot in their new home!

Last month, the Phase One team had the opportunity to mentor a rising senior student from Hammond School , Brennan, who plans to go to college for Interior Design.
We always find it surreal to spend time with students so excited to begin their design education journey. Not so long ago, it feels like we were in their seat, captivated by future possibilities. Even in a small way, it was an honor to be a part of Brennan’s career journey. Our time together was a great reminder we really do have cool jobs, working with fabulous clients, in a both creative and strategic industry many people dream about!
We had a great time interviewing our friend and interior designer, Sharon Valentin of Valentin Design.🥂
We connected with Sharon via our Architectural Designer Meredith who used to work with Sharon. We’re so glad we did, because she is not only a talented designer, but a vibrant, fun, and kind person. ✨

COLD OR HOT?!
It seems like everyone is using a cold plunge or sauna these days! These are two examples from recent projects. One client opted for a sauna on her ADU porch, and the other chose a sauna for her pool house.
Which type of pain would you for: cold therapy ❄️ 🛁 or heat therapy🌶️ ?

If you've ever met CJ, he often claims he "works for the team." But he's actually one of the owners! That statement reflects what he loves most: making the company run well behind the scenes and solving problems. From the initial consultation to the design planning phase, CJ provides his expert construction recommendations and analytical approach, which complement the vision and big ideas of the rest of the team. A fun fact is that he was formerly a professionally trained chef and often cooks for the company—but he's worked in construction long enough that he loves a gas station meal just as much as fine dining. Oh- and he has four kids!
