Word of the Week Wednesday: Abutment Crown 🦷⚙️🔩
An abutment crown is a type of dental implant that uses a metal piece called an abutment to connect the base of the implant to the crown. The abutment can be made of titanium or a more natural looking material called Zirconia. The abutment provides stability to the crown and prevents it from shifting or loosening in the mouth over time.

Word of the Week Wednesday! 📘🦷
This week’s word is CALCULUS — not the math class!
Dental calculus is hardened plaque that builds up on teeth when soft plaque isn’t removed. Once it hardens, you can’t brush it off at home — only a dental professional can remove it during a cleaning.
Healthy gums start with regular checkups and cleanings!
