💝A sustainable Valentine’s gift💝
The best ways to give sustainable flowers for Valentine’s Day is by supporting your **local** flower farmers and local florists (who support local farmers.) This could look like buying dried flowers from the past season or gifting someone a flower CSA (community supported agriculture)

What are you doing when you invest in a CSA (community supported agriculture) ?!
1. You are truly making a decision to bypass all the extra waste when it comes to consumerism. Think single use plastic wraps that flowers come in to help keep them fresh during travel! Most all of your local flower farmers have bouquets wrapped in craft paper that can be recycled or composted.

2. Buying local mean your flowers won’t be drenched in chemicals (preservatives and pesticides etc..) that store bought flowers are sprayed with. They are all mostly imported and need to be kept alive for longer periods of time. Keep this in mind if you smell or touch those blooms 🧼🤚🏼

3. You can feel good about tossing your flowers in a compost pile or just toss them out your kitchen window when they are spent, because they are grown organically will decompose without leaching any herbicides into your soil.

4. Less flowers being imported = less emissions via airplanes. 🌎

5. When you support local farmers you are supporting families!! Not to mention, you are supporting the integrity of rural America. When farmers can make a profit, they can afford to keep their land. They can afford not to sell to developers. We all know how special it is to drive outside of the city and enjoy the rural scene and small communities. When you support families, you will get treated like family. You’ll most likely talk direct to your farmer via email, at the farmers market, or have them deliver straight to your door. You’ll build relationships and get a beautiful product.

Hello! Just wanted to leave a post for those of your venturing over to my new page! Faire Flower Ranch officially launched almost a year ago, but I am just now getting around to creating a page for it! Priorities have definitely been elsewhere, but in a good way. Finally I can post about my business here rather than on my personal page and folks can take this page rather than my other. yay!

So, quick little intro for those of you who aren't familiar with FFR or myself! My name is Hannah Kroeker, my husband and biz partner is Will Kroeker and we have an incredible little girl named Millie. We bought our small farm 4 years ago in Columbia, TN with all kinds of animal plans for the ole homestead, BUT, to our sweet surprise it quickly become a flower farm after a year of gardening and falling in love with the beauty of growing plants for food and pleasure.

Floral design was the obvious next step for me to pursue due to my creative background and new bounty of flowers! It is definitely an art skill to acquire, but I have enjoyed every moment of every floral project whether that is a simple bouquet, flower arrangement, table scape or wedding!

Please reach out to me on DM or via my contact page if you have any questions or inquiries about floral needs. I'd love to chat with you and hear your vision!

Cheers,
Hannah
