“Home Smoking” is a re-started OTTB looking for his forever home! He is a big 17hh gelding. He is best suited for an intermediate rider and has had a great re-start on the flat/dressage. He has a great personality and is a joy to have around the barn.

Penelope… our “Little Peanut” 💕

Just 2 years old… and already in the fight of her life.

Penelope was surrendered to us after being found three-legged lame, with no clear explanation and no ability for her previous owners to move forward with the level of care she now urgently needs.

When she arrived, we did what we always do—
we stabilized her, controlled her pain, and made sure she felt safe.

But what we found next is why she needs all of us.

With the help of the incredible Dr. Melanie Robinson, DVM, Penelope underwent a full exam and diagnostic x-rays… revealing a significant stifle injury, including a fissure (fracture) to the cranial head of the tibia. This type of injury was likely sustained when she got her hind foot stuck in something and frantically pulled herself free. This, pulling are or part of the ligament of the head of the tibia.

And that’s not the full picture.

This Thursday, she will undergo an ultrasound to determine the extent of ligament and soft tissue damage—a critical step to determine whether surgery is necessary and/or in building a rehabilitation plan and giving her the best possible chance at recovery.

Here’s the hard truth…

Cases like Penelope’s are the ones most often turned away.
Not because people don’t care—but because they are expensive, time-intensive, and require a level of care that most simply cannot provide.

This is exactly why we exist.

We step in when others can’t.
We say yes when it would be easier to say no.

But we cannot do it without you.
