Providing Advocacy and Case Management for Survivors of Human Trafficking in Colorado Lotus Foundation was started in Colorado Springs, CO in 2023.

Our Confidential Victim Advocates are here to support survivors of human trafficking with Advocacy and Case Management.

On Juneteenth, we celebrate freedom β€” and we confront the truth that freedom is still not guaranteed for everyone.

Juneteenth marks June 19, 1865, when enslaved people in Texas finally learned of their emancipation β€” more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. It is a day of joy, resilience, and reckoning.

Today, human trafficking remains one of the most devastating modern legacies of slavery. It strips people of autonomy, dignity, and choice. And it disproportionately impacts Black communities, Indigenous communities, and communities of color.

At Lotus Foundation, we believe true freedom requires more than a proclamation. It requires systems of support, safety, and healing for every survivor β€” regardless of gender, background, or immigration status.

This Juneteenth, we honor the long fight for liberation β€” and we recommit to it.

A lot of people hear "case management" and picture paperwork and checkboxes.

For survivors of human trafficking, it's something very different.

It's someone helping you navigate a system that was never designed with you in mind. It's making calls on your behalf when making them yourself feels impossible. It's connecting you to housing, legal support, mental health care, and financial resources β€” and walking alongside you every step of the way.

It's someone who shows up, follows through, and doesn't disappear when things get complicated.

That's what our advocates at Lotus Foundation do. And every service is completely free and confidential β€” because a price tag should never stand between a survivor and safety.

Healing doesn't happen in a straight line.

For survivors of human trafficking, it can look like finally feeling safe enough to ask for help. It can look like getting stable housing for the first time. It can look like someone sitting with you and saying, "I believe you."

That's what Lotus Foundation does every single day.

We provide free, confidential, trauma-informed advocacy and case management β€” not because survivors need to be saved, but because everyone deserves a team in their corner.

If you or someone you know is ready for support, we're here.
No judgment. No cost. No barriers.

Human trafficking doesn't always look like what you see in movies. Most survivors aren't strangers kidnapped off the street β€” they're people manipulated by someone they trusted, facing circumstances that left them vulnerable. Awareness saves lives. Learn the signs at LotusFoundationCO.org. πŸ’œ

June is Pride Month, and Lotus Foundation stands with LGBTQ+ survivors of human trafficking. LGBTQ+ individuals β€” particularly youth β€” face significantly elevated risk of trafficking due to family rejection, housing instability, and discrimination. Our services are free, confidential, and radically inclusive. Every survivor deserves safety, dignity, and support. πŸŒΈπŸ’œ
