Juneteenth honors the day that the last enslaved people in Texas were finally told they were free (two whole years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed). This marked not just the end of slavery in the U.S., but the ongoing pursuit of equity and justice for all.

Today, we celebrate with the Black community as we reflect on freedom, resilience, and the endurance of hope.

What do you want Colorado to look like in 2076? - Vision 2076 06/12/2026

What do you want Colorado to look like 50 years from now? Your voice can help shape the future—and it only takes five minutes.

Reimagine Colorado has launched Vision 2076, an online civic engagement initiative that asks Coloradans to share their vision for the future of our state 50 years from now. As our CEO Amber Ptak said, "It's a fun exercise in dreaming, and helping pave the steps to make that dream a reality."

The goal is to hear from 10,000 Coloradans between now and the end of the July. That means anyone and everyone, regardless of age, gender, county, or political preference. The platform has built-in translation, so matter what language you speak at home, you're invited to participate.

The results from this survey will help Reimagine Colorado build a durable, community-built framework that lawmakers, planners, funders, leaders, and advocates can align around: a shared vision of where we want Colorado to go, even if we don’t agree about how to get there.

To say the Pride Month kickoff party by Prism Community Collective (in partnership with Pikes Peak Pride and The TRUST Center) was "fun" would be an understatement. Friends new and old showed up to Avenue 19 ready to laugh, connect, and celebrate what it means to be authentically yourself. It was a fabulous time with fabulous people. We'd like to thank each and every performer who dazzled the crowd all evening, as well as our Prism staff for facilitating with such grace and good energy.

📸 Finally, a very special thank you to the photographer who produced these beautiful images, Joseph Sharketti.

The StoryTeller Project: Reducing stigma through shared experience — ChangeLine 05/28/2026

"Local storytellers play a powerful role in helping communities move from awareness to lasting change. In rural areas especially, stories shared by neighbors, veterans, parents, youth, business owners, and other community members can break through stigma in ways statistics and marketing campaigns alone cannot.

That’s why the Teller County Mental Health Alliance (TCMHA), an initiative of ChangeLine, launched the StoryTeller Project. This bold new approach to addressing stigma in rural communities shifts the narrative from “mental health problems” to shared human experiences. It reminds people that they are more than their hardest moments—and that every story told has the potential to create hope for someone else..."

There are a few days left to fill out a Mental Health Crisis Experience Survey that the Su***de Prevention Collaborative of El Paso County is conducting.

Organizers are hoping for at least 400 responses – which are anonymous – to gauge how crisis care can be improved from locals who have used mental health services in El Paso County.

The survey is open through Friday to any adult ages 18 and over and is available in English and Spanish at the home page of the collaborative at spcollab.org.

It’s the first community-wide effort to collect first-hand experiences of mental health crisis care across the system, from the time someone reaches out for help through their transition back to regular life, said Cassandra Walton, executive director of Pikes Peak Su***de Prevention Partnership and chair of the Su***de Prevention Collaborative of El Paso County. 🔗 Read more: https://buff.ly/zE9KMk4
