From the lions resting in the sun to the monkeys putting on a show, and the giraffes towering so gracefully above us, every stop brought excitement, laughter, and a hundred “look at THAT!” moments.

I love seeing the world through their eyes—curious, amazed, and completely in the moment. These are the kinds of days that don’t need anything fancy… just time together and a little adventure.

Grateful for memories made, tiny hands to hold, and big smiles all around. ❤️

🏕️A Weekend of Camping, Courage, and Connection 🏕️

Spending time camping with my daughters through American Heritage Girls was such a meaningful experience. There’s something powerful about stepping away from everyday routines and learning, growing, and laughing together under the open sky.

We cooked together, explored the outdoors, learned new skills, and shared stories around the campfire. Watching them build confidence, teamwork, and independence in such a positive environment fills my heart in a way that’s hard to put into words.

These are the moments that shape them—not just the activities, but the time spent together, the lessons learned, and the memories made along the way. I’m so grateful for organizations like American Heritage Girls that help strengthen character, faith, and friendship in our girls.

Here’s to muddy boots, campfire talks, and raising strong, kind, and confident young women. ❤️

From the Revolutionary War to today's missions around the globe, generations of Army soldiers have answered the call with an unwavering commitment to duty.

This summer has been full of laughter at the park, kids chasing adventure from sunrise to sunset, and yes… the not-so-glamorous side too—frogs being proudly carried home and way too many ticks checked off the list 🙃

It’s chaotic, it’s messy, it’s sticky, and honestly? It’s kind of beautiful in its own way. These are the days they’ll remember—and I know I will too.

Here’s to playgrounds, nature discoveries, and all the wild little moments that make summer feel like summer. ❤️

We've had an amazing time exploring the Outer Banks and taking in all the beauty, history, and unique experiences this special place has to offer. From breathtaking ocean views and sandy beaches to discovering hidden gems along the coast, every moment has been another memory made together.

As our kids get older, these family trips become even more meaningful. The time spent laughing, exploring, and simply being together is something we'll treasure long after the vacation ends.

Grateful for the memories, the adventures, and the opportunity to experience it all with the people I love most. ❤️

Women Veterans Day is observed annually on June 12 to commemorate the 1948 signing of the Women's Armed Services Integration Act, which granted women permanent, regular status in the U.S. Armed Forces. Today, I celebrate every woman who had the courage to raise her right hand and serve something greater than herself.

This day is not about division. It is not about comparing sacrifices or measuring service. It is about recognition.

It is about honoring the women who stepped forward when the path was difficult, who broke barriers, who led from the front, who served beside their brothers-in-arms, and who helped shape the military we know today.

From the trailblazers who opened doors, to the women currently serving around the world, to those who quietly carry their veteran status with pride long after the uniform is hung up—today is for you.

Your service mattered.
Your sacrifices mattered.
Your contributions mattered.

Because of women like you, future generations have more opportunities, stronger voices, and a clearer path forward.
