Dear Area 5 Democratic Committee Persons and Outside Poll Workers,

As we gear up for Tuesday, thank you for all you have done for our terrific candidates and for all that you will do on Election Day. For those of you working at the polls, please see the Elections Information that is posted on our shared Google Drive.

In addition, I have scheduled a special ZOOM meeting for Wednesday, May 20th at 7 pm. The meeting is open to all area Democrats although only committee persons can vote. Committee persons: If you can't log on, please name a proxy so we have a quorum for voting.

The executive committee has recommended making additional campaign donations. While our rules permit the area leader to direct the treasurer to make campaign contributions, our practice has been to stick to our budget and to seek approval for expenditures outside of that budget. I don't expect the meeting to last longer than 30 minutes.

As always, our meeting agenda, minutes, and other important committeeperson documents can be found on our Google Drive site. The agenda is posted along with supporting materials including your Election Day Information and Tips for Tuesday, May 19th.

Help us address hunger and food insecurity here in North Penn. On Election Day, Tuesday, May 19th, bring a non-perishable grocery item or two with you to the polls. Drop it off with our North Penn Democratic Committee volunteers at the table outside the polls. We will make sure that all donations go to Manna on Main Street.

When the forest was ablaze, a little hummingbird took a drop of water from the lake and put it on the fire. He did it again and again. A bear watching him finally had to ask, “What are you doing?” “Everything I can,” replied the hummingbird. As the fire rages, continue to be hummingbirds.

Due to scheduling concerns, our May 28th meeting has been cancelled. May is a busy month. I will distribute primary election information via email and our shared Google Drive. You will also get primary information at your May municipal meetings. Please plan on attending. Instead of a May meeting, our reorganization meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 10th at 7:45 pm at the Montgomery Mall. This is an in-person meeting.

Hatfield and Montgomery Township will also be reorganizing that evening beginning at 6:45 pm. Remember that the mall is locked at 7 pm. If you come after 7 pm, please use the entrance by Nan Express where we will post a "doorperson" to let you in.
