Full Job Description
Geppert Bros., Inc. is a fast-paced demolition company seeking to hire motivated individuals who are interested in a career where promotion, reward and recognition are achieved through competitive initiative and individual contribution within a team environment. The Yard Worker position is responsible for maintaining the organization and appearance of equipment inventory on the yard, expediting its readiness for use and assisting with loading and unloading of equipment.
Responsibilities:
• Perform equipment return check in; pressure wash equipment, refuel, check for damage
• Assist drivers in loading/unloading equipment
• Pick up parts from various vendors
• Keep yard/shop clean, organized at all times
• Assist mechanics as needed
Skills:
• Prior construction equipment yard experience a plus.
• Reliable, punctual
• Good communicator
• Ability to accomplish duties with accuracy & timeliness with minimal Supervision
Physical Requirements:
• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Working conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor in all weather conditions.
• Noise level may be loud at times.
• Neck rotation, trunk rotation, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, crawling.
• Will be on feet all day
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Job Type: Full-time – Monday thru Friday with occasional overtime on weekdays/weekends
Schedule: 8 hour shift from 7:00am to 3:30pm (1/2 hr. Lunch)
Experience: Construction equipment a plus: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification: Clean driver's license (Required)
Work Location: Shop - One location
