In one weeks time, over 600 animals (mainly cats and dogs) have flooded ACCT, Philadelphia’s only intake shelter.
That number is gut wrenching!!
Bubbas Station helps to save as many as we can. Not just from ACCT but also from other resources as well as direct owner surrenders through the Citizens for a No Kill Philly program.
I’m the first to admit, that our social media does not keep up with the work we do.
There has been many dogs that have been saved and rehomed that just don’t make it to our fb page or website.
Rest assured, we are doing what we can to continue to help the plight of the dogs landing on the Philly shelter.
Pictured below are 5 dogs that we were able to save from ACCT over the last several weeks. Sheri kna Sadie and Lonestar are spoken for.
Kona, Serenity, and Keebler are available for adoption.
If you want to help the situation at ACCT by fostering, for however long it takes to find that dog a home, please reach out.
It is summertime-
The worst time of year to find adopters due to trips and vacations.
By fostering you can save a life!

Lonestar a.k.a. Houston is having the time of his life! He loves all of the new adventures and experiences he gets to have living in the country, and of course alongside his best friend Dan.
In one picture, he is on a backcountry road, safely secured, taking a ride in the jeep with Dan.
In the other picture, cause he doesn’t like to take his eyes off Dan, he’s looking down the stairwell as Dan comes back up from the basement. He is often doing silly things that keep everybody entertained.
As for his behavior, he has been a perfect boy. He is a good boy while Dan is at work, he has made doggy friends with Dan’s grand pup, and he’s made human friends as well. There are certain days when he gets to go to work with Dan, again, proving to be a well-behaved, friendly companion.
To think how close this dog came to being put to sleep to look at him now… We cannot thank each of you enough who shared for him, donated to him, and prayed for him. I can tell you with 100% certainty that all of it was worth it because this dog absolutely positively deserves to be here. And he also deserves to be living the life of a country dog alongside such a wonderful human being.

Update on one incredibly loved, super special dog once known as Houston, then known as LONESTAR, and now again known as HOUSTON.
As someone typically known to talk the wallpaper off the wall, the last few days have found me nearly speechless.
Beginning with Colleen Bell and Brian of Goodboy Dog Recovery as well as Parker, to this community, more like the army of people who rallied, posted, shared, prayed for, and donated to help save this dogs life-my hat is off to every single one of you!
You have saved him.
Your belief in him has afforded this precious boy a gift of immeasurable value. The gift of life.
Because of your support we were able to silence the ticking of a timestamped clock on his life and replace it with the promise of never having to survive alone in the woods, for God only knows how long, and never having to spend week after week in a shelter kennel- ever again.
To know this pup is to know how worthy he is to now have safety, security of a soft place to lay his head, friendship and companionship all with the intention of showing him nothing but love and understanding.
Given that love, by the support of your chance, this lil survivor is finally able to show the dog he truly is. He has been perfectly behaved-towards all people he’s met on this journey and inside a home.
He is sweet, affectionate, gentle, handsome!, obedient, and open to learning all things his favorite person- his foster dad Dan, is going to teach him.
All you have to do is look in his eyes as he looks at Dan and you literally feel the gratitude and love he is feeling about this guy this new chance on life he’s been given.
We’re going to do our best to keep you updated on his progress. It’s only been a few days but it’s been a beautiful few so far so we wanted to share them with you.
Again, from the bottom of my heart-thank you to each and every one of you who made sure that his story can continue to be written.
