Hey Team,

We are in need of some help. We had to get some work done on the chairty ride. Thankfully we had someone who did the work for us for pretty cheap. We are asking for help with replacing the funds that we had to use.

As you all know we run 100% off donations. Funds are always low but right now, If you could spare even $5.00 it would help us.

We are also looking for anyone who would like to help sponsor our monthly storage unit which is $78.00 a month and or our car insurance is $38.09.

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, Your donations are tax deductable!!! We ask that you share our post in hopes others might be able to help fill these needs.

We were asked to help finding moving boxes for the fiancé and father of the three beautiful souls that was lost last week. If you have any boxes that are in good to use condition please reach out to my niece Cierra Schlechter. She is trying to help Cody with this task. My nephew ( her husband) works with Cody.

Dear South Grand Community Improvement District Board of Directors (South Grand),

In response to the letter we received (see picture attached).
Being kind to anyone and everyone is never wrong. Compassion is ALWAYS right. We are all human and everyone deserves to be treated with basic human dignity. The South Grand we know and love is a compassionate, diverse, and loving community, and this does not reflect this community’s values in any way.

Over the years we and many other businesses on South Grand have supported and welcomed our unhoused community. We have been open for 30 years and the unhoused community has never made us feel unsafe, so claiming that as a justification for this is abhorrent and wrong.

We are extremely disappointed and quite frankly, angry that some of our fellow South Grand businesses have signed off and support this.

We also want to remind everyone that calling the police on our unhoused friends is never in the best interest of any person. Even more so, asking people to exploit this community by filming them so they can be identified is simply inhumane.

This is not a problem exclusive to South Grand, this is an issue across every city in this country, and this will only get worse. Instead of trying to pass the issue along to another neighborhood, we need to come together as a community and figure out humane and compassionate solutions.

We will continue to support our unhoused friends in giving them water and food, access to air conditioning and heat, access to bathrooms, Wi-Fi, ability to charge their phones, and a place to sit on our patio, and we hope other businesses will do the same.

This is more than disappointing to us, this is cruel and heartless.

If you have an old phone laying around, we can put it to good use.

All we ask that they have a charger cable and be fully charged. We can hand them out on our next outreach.

Saturdays outreach was amazing. It was a lot hotter than we thought it was going to be.

We had issues with our phones overheating. So we didn’t get to do much of the live steam.

We served 118 people on the streets. The last 12 set ups went to miss pams house. They were gone within 30 mins.

We will be posting items that we are out of or low on in the next couple of hours.
