With nearly five years of dedicated service, Jessi keeps our work zones safe by conducting daily hazard risk assessments, coordinating traffic control, and leading her team through real-time challenges. She thrives on learning from her mentors and seeing the direct impact of her leadership, and she wants to remind everyone that every single sign, cone, and lane closure is placed with a purpose; to ensure both the public and our ground crews make it home safely to their families. Her top advice for newcomers is that "communication is key," a grounded approach she carries over into her personal life, where she loves nothing more than being surrounded by her family.

Our Ohio-based Vector Services team recently had the incredible privilege of joining Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity at Fifth Third Field for their inspiring Playhouse Project! Rooted in the event's motto that "playhouses build big houses," our crew traded in their usual safety gear for hammers and paintbrushes to build and paint a custom playhouse for an amazing child named James. This wonderful initiative brings volunteers together from across Toledo to support local families and raise vital funds for affordable housing, and we could not be prouder of our team's hard work, military-grade teamwork, and dedication to serving our neighbors. Seeing the pure joy and big smiles on the children's faces when they arrived at the ballpark was the ultimate reward, and we want to extend a massive thank you to our incredible volunteers for living out our core values and making a meaningful difference in the community.

On this day of remembrance, we pay tribute to the courageous men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation, a profound loss that serves as a powerful reminder that the liberties we enjoy do not come free and should never be taken for granted.

This month we would like to highlight Jeff Mead, a Hydro Vac Operator at Vector Services in Washington! Having passed his one year mark with the company, Jeff’s day-to-day focus is centered on operating safely and keeping customers happy, though he'll tell you that the absolute best part of his job is the fantastic team he gets to work alongside. For anyone looking to jump into this field, Jeff offers some straightforward, golden advice: get a CDL. When he’s off the clock, Jeff loves shifting his focus to what matters most, spending quality time with his wife, Sarah, and their two kids, Jack and Luke.

Vector Services is proud to highlight Kenyon Nolden, a dedicated Sewer Camera Operator based in Missouri who has been an essential part of our team for over seven years. Specializing in sewer infrastructure mapping, Kenyon operates sophisticated RC camera equipment to conduct vital inspections that keep our communities running smoothly. He takes great pride in knowing that his precise data prevents massive logistical issues for the city, emphasizing that the immense attention to detail required in his role is what keeps essential services reliable. Kenyon’s advice for those entering the field is to bring a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the resilience to handle any weather conditions, a mindset he models every day in the field. When he isn't ensuring our infrastructure is sound, Kenyon stays active through paintball and long walks, enjoys strategic games of Magic: The Gathering, and cherishes quality time with his friends and family.
