Job Comfort Dog
Lutheran Church Charities K-9 Comfort Dogs are friends who bring a calming influence. Job 42:5 "My ears had heard of you
but now my eyes have seen you."
Job is a trained LCC K-9 Comfort Dog at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Memphis, Tennessee. He serves every day in the community in which he is placed and is deployed in times of disaster and crisis to bring comfort to all those affected, including first responders and the volunteers who serve them. Job is a friend who brings a calming influence and allows people to open up their hearts and receive help for what is affecting them. Comfort Dogs are available to visit your church or group.

I had a great time Tuesday! My handler and I went to the Cordova Library for Paws for Reading. Pups came to read to me, talk, or just pet me. They also got to decorate a dog ornament. Fun!
And Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads and Step Dads out there, those still with us, and those that have gone on. We love you and we thank God for you.
We sang this hymn at my church today. I love it when my congregation sings it, it is so very uplifting! 1“For all the saints who from their labors rest, Who Thee by faith before the world confessed, Thy name, O Jesus, be forever blest. Alleluia! Alleluia!” (For All the Saints, Lutheran Service Book, #677, vs1)
I hope everyone has a good night! Love, Job
“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

My handler and I had a very pleasant visit today at Culpepper Place! It was so nice to see my good friends and hear their voices. And look! I even made a new friend! A little pup! What a cutie! And he was not afraid of me at all. I hope I get to see him again sometime!
I hope everyone has a pleasant night. Love, Job
“We love because He first loved us.”

It’s still my birth month! So I got to wear my birthday crown one more time today as my church, Christ the King Lutheran, celebrated me. I gave out cookies in the rotunda and received many wonderful hugs. Also, many donations were made to my Job fund and I received some great gifts as well. What a fun day!
My congregation sang this hymn today. I always enjoy listening to it:
5“Crown Him the Lord of Heav’n, Enthroned in worlds above, Crown Him the King to whom is giv’n Thy wondrous name of Love. Crown Him with many crowns as thrones before Him fall; Crown Him, ye kings, with many crowns, For He is King of all.”
(Crown Him with many Crowns, Lutheran Service Book, #525, vs5) I find it very uplifting! I hope you do too!
I hope everyone has a good night. Love, Job
“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”

Ah! Sweet refreshing lemonade! This is future entrepreneur Anna, and she was selling lemonade from a lemonade stand. I heard the humans say that the lemonade sure was good! But most important of all, I made a precious new friend!
I hope everyone has a pleasant night! Love, Job
“A sweet friendship refreshes the soul.”

I had a wonderful visit recently to Germantown Methodist Hospital! While I was there, I met a very sweet patient and her daughter. Do you know how sometimes you have an instant connection with someone? That was us! We bonded immediately! And I am so glad that I now have a new best friend! My handler and I also had the opportunity to spend time with some of the dedicated nurses who work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). These special angels take care of the most vulnerable newborn babies who require monitoring 24/7 during the first 28 days after birth. And as soon as we saw these nurses, my head tilted just a tiny bit and I felt my nose sniff with familiarity! I figured it out very quickly when one of the nurses mentioned that I look like the dog from her son’s school! Yep! I knew it! Her son is one of my Christ the King Lutheran School pups! Small world!
I hope everyone has a restful night! Love, Job
“Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.”

I had a wonderful visit last Thursday at Culpepper Place. I was so happy to see my friends and they were as welcoming and friendly as always. And I got many good pats and ear scratches!
And afterwards, as I was sitting outside enjoying the warm sunshine on my sugar face, I couldn’t help but feel God’s unending love surrounding me and sustaining me! I hope everyone of my friends inside felt exactly the same way!
I hope everyone has a wonderful night. Love, Job
“The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever.”

Bucket list time! I can now mark Alaska off my list of states because CJ (Card Job) is there and is sending pictures! This charming picture was taken in Seward, AK. It looks so calm and peaceful there and I can’t wait to see what CJ sends next!
And speaking of peaceful, I hope everyone has a peaceful night! Love, Job
“You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.”

It’s been a busy month full of graduations, Confirmation, RITI, and so much more. But I still got to visit with my friends at Town Village recently! One dear, precious friend just means so much to me ( I got to see her again at church today). And I have only recently met some of the other newer friends there, but guess what? Yep! They all give excellent ear scratches and pats! And I can’t wait to go back!
I hope everyone has had a pleasant Holy Trinity Sunday! We sang this at my church today and I always love hearing it: “Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty! All Thy works shall praise Thy name in earth and sky and sea. Holy, holy, holy, merciful and mighty! God in three persons, blessed Trinity!”
(Lutheran Service Book, Holy, Holy, Holy, #507, vs4)
I hope everyone has a peaceful night! And remember, somebody with lots of golden floofiness turns 11 years old tomorrow! Love, Job
“18And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age’.”

I want to share this picture with you of me with my pups, who recently graduated from the 8th grade at my school, Christ the King Lutheran. I am so very proud of these students and what they have achieved during this school year and I pray that God will continue to bless and keep them as they head to high school this fall.
I hope that they and all the other pups from my school have a safe and fun summer break! Love, Job
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
