We made you a map!
Starting April 1st, visitor parking on our Main Street is metered on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10-6PM with a three hour limit. There is free, unlimited parking on 9D and the portion of Main Street to the northeast of 9D, as well as stress-free, easy parking in the Metronorth parking lot immediately adjacent to Main Street (it’s free on weekends and holidays and easily accessible to Main Street via the train overpass or underpass.)
There is also very limited free 5-hour parking on the side streets immediately adjacent to Main Street, and 15 minute parking spots on most corners of Main Street. Parking on Main Street is free and unmetered Monday - Thursday.
If you’re having trouble paying for parking via your phone (yes, our little corner of the world has spotty cell phone service!), there are two parking meter stations on Main Street - one in front of Village Hall and the other at the “top of the hill” on corner of Church and Main.
Have thoughts on how we can make parking easiest/better/less stressful for everyone? Tell us what you think via this little survey - https://forms.gle/QQ2XhfitCS3FzivEA - we put together. Everything is a work in progress.
Ok, back to art!

Figure drawing is the best, the worst, the most exhilarating, humbling and we think, fun way to kick off a Sunday morning or insert into a midweek evening. This year, we’ll be peppering all of our sessions with a little more sharing and chatting between posing session.
If you’ve sat next to someone and wanted to know more about their secret assignments to themselves, what they’re using, how they did something, or just to ooh and aah at other people making things, join us for our open figure drawing sessions 3X a month.
Our intrepid crew meets on the 1st and 3rd Sunday morning of each month and the last Wednesday evening of each month. Bring some paper and something to draw or paint with (we’ll have some to share too!) and join in.
We’ll see you soon, k?👋

Our winter class schedule is UP! Warm up your creative insides with a little color 🎨, a little play and a lot of magic that only happens when you make (and unmake) in community.
Sign up for our upcoming workshops and get inspired by our almost-back-to-normal creative space, what your workshop neighbor is making and maybe, just maybe what comes from your own two hands. 😉

Soooo, we’ll start by saying everything is mostly ok. 🫤
Our building had a minor(?) fire last night and our back office has some unexpected ventilation. We’ll be opening a tad later today, using our workshop room as a product triage center and our shop might smell a little like a campfire, so please bear with us as we sift and sort.
So many thanks to for a neighborly eye and helping contain the fire early on and the .1 for putting it out and moving the bulk of our things out of harms way.
Onwards ✌️

The first snow is the cutest snow. ❄️😊
We’re warm and cozy in the shop today, tinkering away on odds and ends, drinking tea and making the workshops. Who’s ready to glide into the mysterious world of art and making with us in the coming weeks?
Sled on by for art things, chat things and if you’re super lucky, to have a shop dog bark at you as you come in the door. Everyone loves it. 😬

Wintering mode on. ❄️
The start of our year is for sifting and sorting, reflecting on the year past and refining what comes from lessons learned. What do we want more of, what do we less of what, what do want to bring into existence in the coming months, what do we still need to tidy and stack and burn.
This fallow period is a choice, bypassing all the different voices calling for more, for doing, for remaking and deciding to follow this one, this internal voice of mystery that says do this, I know this is right but I don’t know why. The same voice that will soon say that today is a day for writing, and maybe in a while, a moment for painting or for picking up a never-used pencil to scribble and draw.
Our shop hours shorten from now through April and our workshop schedule will be coming out in the next week or so. All in rhythm, can you feel it?
We are open Thursday to Monday from 11 to 5pm. We will be closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays through the winter months. To hear all about our upcoming workshop schedule and some exciting changes coming up for the shop, sign up for our newsletter. 😉

2024 is coming in HOT 🔥
Or is it just us? 🤔 We have projects on projects lined up for the coming year, some pretty big (but exciting!!) shifts coming up in the next few months and ideas for projects and shifts and art making coming out of our ears.
How do you take big ideas and timelines and corral them into an everyday tempo? How do you know what has the ability to float and move in the year and what needs to be anchored to a specific time and date?
This year, we’re organizing from big to small - from sketching and drawing out the big picture creative peaks and fallow periods for the year, to plotting out them out on our very wonderful and beautiful yearly wall planner by and eventually, funneling them into our newly opened 2024 Leuchtturm planner. (Aren’t fresh new books the best??)
Will this work? (Very definitely maybe 😜) Have any pro tips to pass along? Please share! Next year will be all hands on deck 🙌
