The threes enjoyed listening to The Best Nest by P.D. Eastman and followed up by constructing their own ‘Best Nests’

It’s that time of year again! Our preschool class gathered information from legends, songs and storybooks to compile a list of leprechaun ‘facts’ which they used to design and build their own leprechaun traps—no one managed to catch one this year, but the wee ones were kind enough to leave chocolate coins and Lucky Charms behind…

In true community spirit, we wrapped up our Community Helpers unit with a walking trip to the Cold Spring Post Office. The preschoolers got to mail letters home and learn how letters make their way into our mailboxes.

Thank you to local author Raven Howell for your visit to CNS today! The classes each had the opportunity to hear Raven read aloud one of her books and do a great activity with her. Each student received a free copy of her amazing books to take home. We are so fortunate to have these local community connections!

We celebrated International Day last week with our Preschool and Pre-K classroom. Our friends worked together with their families to celebrate a country of their choice. Each child brought in something to represent their country and we were blown away with their creativity! We especially enjoyed trying all of the yummy treats from different cultures.

Our Pre-K class celebrated wrapping up our Literacy March Madness by dressing up as their favorite storybook characters 📚
